Shop Assistant

Davey Coach Sales is the nation-wide leader in van and bus sales. We have an immediate opening for an Shop Assistant in our ever growing office in New Paris, IN. The Shop Assistant is responsible for diagnosing and repairing general automotive issues, while ensuring safety and quality to ensure timely delivery of repaired vehicles. Additionally, this position will assist with the installation of graphics and light fabrication work on vehicles.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Analyze, diagnose, and air conditioning systems, air bags, brake systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, steering and suspension systems.

· Completes all pre-delivery inspections on vehicles that have been serviced.

· Performs DOT inspections on vehicles.

· Inspects and tests all mechanical repairs to meet manufacturers’ specifications. Road test vehicles when required.

· Installs various camera systems in vehicles, such as, passenger area and back-up systems.

· Communicate with the service writing team to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery.

· Prepare and install vinyl graphics on vehicles per the direction of the Operations Manager.

· Utilize all required safety equipment, follows proper repair procedures and adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal.
