Job Overview
The Plant Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant processes, overseeing labor assignments, supervising employee development, and fostering a safe work environment. This position requires strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
This is a full-time, onsite role that collaborates with teams across the Quality, Maintenance, and Operations departments to ensure all plant objectives are met effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
- Leads and enforces safety practices – Ensures adherence to safety procedures in compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitors and maintains quality standards – Performs regular quality checks on sites and equipment to meet customer and internal quality standards.
- Develops work schedules – Creates and manages worker schedules to meet production goals efficiently.
- Delegates responsibilities – Assigns tasks to team members, ensuring accountability and performance standards are met.
- Conducts training and evaluations – Provides training and cross-training to staff, performs performance evaluations, and manages disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Monitors inventory control – Oversees cycle counts and inventory management to ensure accuracy.
- Generates and reviews reports – Reviews daily operation reports to ensure shift continuity and identifies corrective actions for any operational issues.
- Collaborates on quality initiatives – Works closely with the Quality Department to develop and maintain plant-wide quality standards.
- Implements action plans – Develops and drives action plans to enhance plant efficiencies and achieve production objectives.
- Ensures safety compliance – Documents injuries and follows up with corrective actions to prioritize and improve safety protocols.
- Manages staff development – Hires, coaches, and evaluates team members while overseeing performance and personnel actions.
- Performs other duties as assigned – Takes on additional responsibilities as necessary to support plant operations.
Required Expertise:
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Associate degree with an emphasis on management or supervision (preferred).
- Experience with shop floor interfaces – Working knowledge of platforms like MES, SAP, or similar systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
