Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is a key role that oversees labor assignments, supervises employee development, and ensures the safe and efficient operation of plant processes. This position requires strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills to contribute to fostering a safe work environment, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and meeting production goals.
This individual will collaborate with teams across the Quality, Maintenance, and Operations departments to ensure all plant objectives are met effectively. The role is based in Ogle County, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures safety practices by adhering to regulatory agencies and company policies.
- Monitors and maintains quality standards through regular quality checks on sites and equipment.
- Develops and manages worker schedules to meet production goals efficiently.
- Delegates responsibilities to team members, ensuring accountability and performance standards are met.
- Conducts training and evaluations, provides cross-training, and manages disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Oversees cycle counts and inventory management to ensure accuracy.
- Reviews daily operation reports to identify corrective actions for operational issues.
- Collaborates with the Quality Department to develop and maintain plant-wide quality standards.
- Implements action plans to enhance plant efficiencies and achieve production objectives.
- Ensures safety compliance and documents injuries for corrective actions.
- Manages staff development, hires, coaches, and evaluates team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Required Expertise:
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Associate degree with an emphasis on management or supervision (preferred).
- Experience with shop floor interfaces and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
