Essential duties and responsibilities:
Duties:
- Interview and pre-screen MnTC clients to determine appropriate attorney services;
- Determine and provide to clients' court forms and other paperwork appropriate to client legal issue(s);
- Interface with attorneys to determine correct paperwork and other information required for meeting with attorneys;
- Review client paperwork for accuracy and completeness;
- Prepare clients for meeting with the volunteer attorneys;
- Obtain client records and provide print-outs for attorney review:
- Driving records;
- Court records relating to:
- Outstanding fines (probationary and court)
- Criminal history;
- Driving history;
- Probationary terms and fines; and
- Court-ordered restitution.
- Assist clients with requesting client credit reports in preparation of meeting with attorney;
- Assist clients with requesting criminal records in preparation for meeting with attorney regarding expungement.
Minimum Qualifications:
