Sheet Metal Machine Operator

Dehumidified Air Solutions located in York, PA is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for our Sheet Metal Shop. Please review the below information and apply today if you meet the criteria listed.

Qualifications:

-previous experience working in a sheet metal shop operating CNC machinery preferred

-ability to read blue-prints

-strong knowledge of CNC machinery to include laser, punch press, brake press

-experience performing maintenance as needed on CNC equipment

-welding knowledge of TIG and MIG is a plus

(please note, welding may only be up to 5% of the overall job duties)

-basic math skills required

-excellent communication skills

-must be a self-starter

-must be a team player

-basic computer skills to include data entry

-ability to troubleshoot, identify and rectify issues

-ability to lift or assist in lifting sheet metal panels on and off machines and separating parts from the sheet

-must be able to work a schedule of Monday through Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm with the ability to work Fridays when needed with the understanding the schedule can change at the discretion of management based on business needs

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

-operate punch press, brake press and other equipment and tools within the sheet metal shop

-separate parts from the skeleton and put skeleton in scrap hopper

-perform detailed first piece inspection to drawing requirements

-perform visual part inspection on all parts produced

-perform dimensional inspection checks during the run to verify part quality

-load parts onto skids, identify skid contents and complete associated paperwork

-other duties as assigned by team lead and management
