Dekalb Package is a locally owned liquor store dedicated to providing top-tier customer service and a wide selection of wines, spirits, and craft beers. We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Sales Associate to join our team and help keep the store organized, clean, and fully stocked. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.
Position Overview:
As a Sales Associate, you'll be the face of the store — helping customers find what they’re looking for, keeping the store clean and organized, and supporting smooth daily operations. We're looking for someone dependable, friendly, and interested in learning more about beer, wine, and spirits.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with product selection and inquiries
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Restock shelves and ensure displays are neat and fully stocked
- Check IDs and follow all alcohol sales regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store
- Assist with inventory counts and deliveries as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and product recommendations
Qualifications
- Prior retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to manage time efficiently and effectively
- Ability to lift 20 lbs and stand for extended amount of time
- Proven working experience as a cashier or in customer service
- Self driven people that do not need to be micromanaged
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays
