Job Description Summary
* This position requires flexibility to work at any Del Mar College campus location, and work any shift (morning or afternoon), to provide adequate coverage of office business hours. *
This position is under the direction of the Assistant Director of Admissions, in the Student Enrollment Center, and is responsible for participating in a variety of technical and clerical duties related to the Admission’s Office. These responsibilities include interacting directly with students, prospective students and the community regarding admissions requirements.
Additionally, processing international student admissions, determining residency, assisting students with the application process, completing data entry of student applications and admissions documents, and processing all academic, early college, and special programs’ admissions functions. Works closely with students, faculty, chairs, staff and continuing education staff to ensure all admissions functions are completed.

Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year of advanced study or training past the high school diploma or GED equivalency AND three (3) years related experience to include: admissions/registration for education courses, computer-based data entry, and/or office related customer service.

Utilize the student information system daily to perform data entry, including admissions applications, student transcripts, test scores to include the Texas Success Initiative, bacterial meningitis records, and all miscellaneous documents needed to complete a student’s file for academic, early college, and special programs.
Utilize the document imaging system to index, review and maintain relevant documents in student records.
Utilize the virtual check in system to place students in line or to summon students waiting to be seen by an Admissions representative.

Assist international students by serving as the first point of contact and assisting with the completion of the international checklist to obtain an I-20 for an F1 Student Visa.
