SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Inside Sales is responsible for interaction with both current customers and new sales leads received through tradeshow activities, advertising, website, and other sources. Person must understand customer needs and requirements; recommend appropriate techncial data and products, provide samples and quotes, follow-up on results of product evaluation, and document all activities in CRM and/or Logs. Detailed information for all new Sales Opportunities managed by person are tracked in CRM. Minimal travel for local customer meetings.
The scope of the activities of the Inside Sales person also include supporting the outside sales team by processing and managing RMA's , quotes, and samples and completing various sales projects (data gathering; creating charts, etc.) Knowledge of EXCEL is required. Position will also serve as back-up to Customer Service Dept. and perform Order Entry as needed.
This position relies on basic semiconductor and photonics related experience to understand customer applications, articulate technology, and position the Gel-Pak products in order to identify and satisfy customer requirements. Person must be action-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills to successfully manage customers through all stages of the sales cycle.
Education, Training and Experience:
- 3-5 year of technical sales experience
- MS Office Suites
- Bachelors degree in Sales/Marketing and/or related field
- Prior experience using CRM
- Ability to travel locally up to 25%
