Dennis K. Burke Inc., headquartered in Taunton, MA, is always looking for a dynamic, motivated person to join our Customer Service Team! This an opportunity for someone that will thrive in a fast-paced environment and can successfully prioritize work and multi-task. This position works with multiple departments and utilizes multiple systems.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Correspond with customers by telephone, e-mail or onsite to provide information about products and services, to take and enter orders, and research inquiries
- Performs consultative selling of products to meet customer needs.
- Reviews products benefits and specifications
- Document customer interactions and transactions, recording details of orders, inquiries, concerns, comments, as well as actions taken
- Price orders for products and services requested and process payments
- Obtain and examine all relevant information related to customer’s concern to assess validity of concerns, determine possible causes, and make recommendations on potential solutions
- Identify, research and resolve customer problems using various tools such as computer data bases, product literature, and internal resources
- Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation
- Follow up on customer inquiries or to notify them of any planned resolutions to their concerns
- Assist with other projects in CS or in other areas as necessary
Education and Skills Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 1 year minimum applicable experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work well in a Team Environment
- Proficient with email, word, excel and experience with data base driven systems
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and math skills
- Must be able to work with all levels of the organization in a professional, courteous manner
