We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a Retail background to be responsible for project management of large Transformation Projects, with the primary project being the overall coordination and management of the implementation of the new Retail Platform.  The project encompasses both back-office (buying/planning/receiving) and front-end Point of Sale systems within Xanterra’ s Corporate Retail & Property Retail Operations.  Overall program has components of process, technology and organization improvements which must be overseen by this role, working in concert with Business and IT stakeholders. 


Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and project set-up for major projects, including the Retail System and process implementation.  Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables and coordinate completion of Project Charters and requirements. 
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff; manage project budget and project resource allocation. Lead project kickoffs.  Provide direction and support to project teams.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines using appropriate tools. Develop full scale project plans, including project tasks and resource requirements. 
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools. Implement quality assurance protocols and test/monitor deliverable quality to ensure achievement of project requirements.  Implement and manage project changes to achieve expected project outputs
  • Proactively identify project roadblocks and risks. Work with project team members to develop and implement mitigations and solutions to keep project on course.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders. Develop and provide reporting showing project progress, problems, and solutions.   
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed for project work and scheduling. Ensure all documentation is in place as needed.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Project Management and Technology.
  • Prior Experience in Retail Platform Project Implementation preferred.
  • Positives: Familiarity or experience working with Retail Operations and/or Buying, experience in hospitality systems or operations, multi-unit operations experience.
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of project management techniques, tools and software, with direct work experience in project management capacity
  • Strong oral and written communication skills-ability to synthesize and present data clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to interact with team members at all levels of the organization and with cross functional teams to ensure cost control and process improvements
  • Proven experience in risk and change management
  • Key competencies include critical thinking and problem-solving skills, planning and organizing, decision-making, influencing and leading, team building, conflict management and adaptability

COMPENSATION:  The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $110,000.00.
