What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSOCIATE GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM ANALYST position at Department of Insurance?

Under direction from the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), Manager of the Curriculum Review Section, the incumbent will serve as a full journey level analyst. The incumbent will analyze and establish procedures and guidelines; review course content and completeness of course applications; answer inquiries concerning the prelicensing (PRE) and continuing education (CE) programs; work with the Information Technology Division programmers in designing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing a tracking system for approved PRE and CE courses; make recommendations on system and policy matters which affect the Education Unit; analyze proposed legislation; report Education Unit status at Curriculum Board meetings and work with the Board as needed; testify at court trials concerning licensing records; assist the Curriculum Compliance Analysts with audits of providers and courses.

Working Conditions
- Eligible for telework in accordance with CDIs Telework policy. Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants must reside in California. Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.
- Occasional travel may be required within and/ or outside the State of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, bus, train etc.) Travel may include overnight stay(s).
- Must be able to work in a high-rise building.
- Daily use of laptop computers, phone, copiers/scanners, general office equipment, software applications, and the internet.
