A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER AT DWT
The Senior Electrical Engineer will take designs from concept to production including schematic design, PCB layout, hardware prototyping, firmware, integration, and test. You will perform Electrical testing and board/ system level trouble-shooting with common electronic testing instruments (oscilloscope, frequency counter, spectrum analysis, curve tracer, etc.), perform data analysis and debugging for system testing. The successful candidate should have Expert knowledge of control circuitry and electrical schematics as well as knowledge in some or all the following areas: switch-mode and other power supply design, electric motor controls, sensor-less motor controls, AC/DC and brushless motors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering discipline
- 5 years recent experience in hands on development.
- Outstanding excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Active hands-on style with emphasis on tight coordination, cross-functional involvement, and aggressive execution
- Balance of analytical and practical hands-on emphasis
- Ability to code in C/C
- Project coordination (proactively identify tasks, resources, equipment, etc.)
- Ability to develop & deliver clear and concise reports & presentations using Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint
- Previous experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 a plus
- A/D & D/A converters and analog & digital circuits a plus
- Software: Cadence OrCAD 16.5 or newer, Keil 5 (or newer), Autodesk Eagle 9 (or newer), RTOS and circuit simulation tools a plus.
