What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rework Technician position at DIGITAL MONITORING PRODUCTS?

The Rework Technician performs basic troubleshooting and various functions including solder, desolder and basic assembly.

 

*This position is for first shift

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass DMP Solder assessment and IPC A610 Solder Joint Inspection acceptability assessment
  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing soldering / desoldering work; preferably on circuit boards and components

Ability to learn and apply knowledge of:

  • Component identification codes and orientation
  • Soldering iron usage and maintenance
  • Desoldering machine usage and maintenance
  • Electro-static discharge (ESD)
  • Digital multi-meter (DMM) operation

Responsibilities:         

  1. Review test failure reports and perform basic diagnostics and repairs of DMP products.
  2. Performs final in circuit and functional testing of repaired units, as needed.
  3. Uses digital multimeter (DMM) and other testing equipment, as required.
  4. Documents all repairs in applicable database in a timely manner.
  5. Works from drawings, samples and written procedures to identify components for repair.
