Job Title: Housekeeper
Department: Residential and Community Enrichment
Reports To: Residential Program Manager
Supervises: None
Classification: Non-Exempt
Role: To enhance quality of life by routinely cleaning both the homes of those served by DSGP, as well as other company owned properties
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Following routine schedules, clean and sanitize client homes and/or other company properties including, but not necessarily limited to vacuuming, wiping down / sanitizing all living areas, cleaning windows, removal and proper disposal of trash, deep cleaning of bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas in the home.
- Report to the appropriate Residential Program Manager any observations or situations that may affect the safety and/or well-being of the individual.
- Attend all training and meetings as assigned and required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Adhere to scheduled hours.
- Meet agency standards of necessary supports to ensure safety and well-being of individuals served.
- May be required to drive company owned vehicles. If so, must meet insurance carrier standards.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Prior housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.
Education: High School diploma/equivalent preferred, but not required.
Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and individuals served. Must demonstrate compassion for individuals with disabilities.
Other Skills: Basic mathematical, grammar and computer skills preferred. Valid driver's license required.
Physical/Environmental: Must be able to lift, push and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, and provide physical intervention on a regular basis. Noise level may vary, depending upon duty assigned. Due to the potential intimate nature of care and physical proximity involved with some of those receiving HCBS funded I/DD services through Disability Supports, and to promote safe work environment for both the caregiver and those for whom we care, you may, from time-to-time, be required to wear PPE, (Personal Protective Equipment). If PPE is required, Disability Supports will provide it.
