Supervisor of Special Education (Grades Pre-K-5)

12 Month Position
Assist with the supervision of the assigned grade levels for the Pupil Personnel Services Department, consistent with educational goals and objectives of the district, to carry out planning and development for curriculum, instruction, assessment, program supervision, budget development and the evaluation of instructional staff. A major function of this position is acting as resource person to academic coaches, teachers and building administration. The Supervisor will collaborate with building administration to meet the District’s school improvement and program requirements, to assist with the supervision and evaluation of assigned teachers, and to support the district-wide development of the instructional program.
QUALIFICATIONS
NJDOE K-5 and either Teacher of Students w/Disabilities (TOSD)
or Teacher of the Handicap (TOH)
Must posses NJDOE Supervisor's Certification
