At Diversified Safety Services LLC, we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support our high-compliance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, environmental health, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee site safety for large-scale abatement, demolition, excavation/dirt work, and remediation projects.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and trainings in accordance with OSHA, environmental, and site-specific regulations.
- Monitor compliance related to asbestos abatement, heavy metals, lead, silica, and other hazardous exposures.
- Train field personnel on safe operation of aerial lifts, telehandlers, and other heavy equipment.
- Sponsor the implementation of health and safety plans and site-specific safety programs.
- Deliver field-based safety trainings, including site orientations and toolbox talks.
- Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Valid Asbestos License.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification.
- EM 385-1-1 Training (preferred).
- 24-Hour Fall Protection.
- Experience with lead abatement, chemical operations, and heavy metals exposure.
- Heavy Metals Awareness/Competent Person Training.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental safety or industrial hygiene roles.
- Strong understanding of demolition, abatement, and remediation safety practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and field coordination skills.
Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
