Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers has been providing award-winning,
specialized residential and outpatient treatment programs for children,
adolescents, and their families since 1991. Our residential treatment
programs in central Pennsylvania offer an intimate, welcoming environment
for us to provide innovative treatment to those in need. We help those who
have experienced emotional, physical, and sexual abuse and trauma. DTAC
also provides treatment for those who exhibit sexual behavior problems in
an intensive, solution-focused treatment process.
Summary:
To assist the Caseworkers and carry out all duties assigned by a member of the management team and provide basic treatment to all youth in placement in the facilitation of all segments of childcare.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide for health, safety, security, and appropriate social interaction/social behavior of residents.
- Provide proper documentation via staff log and daily progress notes regarding interactions with residents.
- Maintain appropriate discipline and take action as needed.
- Participate in recreational events on and off-site.
- Initiate one-to-one sessions with residents as time allows.
- Maintain regular contact with the facility to keep abreast of available work.
- Assist youth in obtaining objectives as outlined on the treatment plan.
- Co-facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Assist Caseworkers in the facilitation of therapy to their assigned youth when necessary.
You must be at least 21 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED. Ability to obtain Act 33 clearances, Criminal History and FBI Act 73 clearance. A valid driver's license is required. Ability to pass Safe Crisis Management is also required.
