What are the responsibilities and job description for the TELEPHONE OPERATOR position at Doctors Hospital of Laredo?

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Telephone Operator is responsible for answering the main switch board for all incoming calls into the hospital.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.) Answers all incoming calls.

2.) Pages physicians and employees via pagers or cellulars.

3.) Assists patients in placing calls.

4.) Pages hospital codes.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PBX experience or previous experience within the healthcare field preferred.
High School Dipolma or equivalent required.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
