Description
The Print Shop Assistant - Intern works closely with our Print Shop Staff and will be primarily focused on pre-and post-print production activities, including operating Finishing/Bindery equipment, and cutting, folding, mailing, and packaging of printed materials.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of printing, assembly and distribution of production work.
- Assist & coordinate production schedule to meet customers' expectations and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of production level binding equipment and finishing options.
- Working knowledge of “print on demand” Best Practices.
- Provide the highest level of Customer Service at all times and in a positive and professional manner.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Experience & Required Skills
- Job training will be provided
- 1 years experience in printing or related field
- Attention to Detail
- Customer service orientation
Education & Certification
High School diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally stand, stoop, bend, and kneel
- Manual dexterity to use hands and fingers to handle and control printing equipment, computer, and keyboard
- Visual acuity to see printed and digital documents
- Ability to regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Ability to understand the speech of others
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
