DonorConnect is seeking a full-time Controller to oversee the accounting operations of the company including production of the financial statements, maintenance of accounting records, oversee internal controls designed to mitigate risk, and ensure that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP). Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will be responsible for preparing the financial statements, the budget and the cost report, management of the accounting team, and coordinating information for internal and external audits. Additionally, you will engage in quality assurance/improvement activities, including internal audits, staff training, ensuring regulatory standards are met, and regularly collaborating with other departments. Finally, you will be responsible for employee engagement through performance management activities, such as conducting one-on-one meetings, providing feedback and coaching, and developing personal development plans as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.

Training/Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, management, or business preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Experience Required:
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Controller
- Supervision experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of the healthcare and hospital industry is preferred
- Understanding of basic GAAP accounting, payroll-related laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, responsibilities, and commitments by being organized and understanding how to effectively prioritize items
- Ability to quickly sort through financial and clinical data to make effective decisions
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to move 10 pounds at times with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
