Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a 3rd Shift (9:30PM - 6:00AM) Machinist II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II will perform machine setups, tool changes, and make adjustments as necessary.
HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $23hr. - $27/hr. plus $.75/hr. shift differential. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). What You Will Do
- Follow operation instructions; operate machine according to standard operating instructions
- Monitor and maintain equipment safely, load stock and empty scrap hoppers with fork trucks
- Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
- Load setup automatic and transfer equipment in to presses
- Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparator
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extensive experience operating, setups, tool changes, etc.
- Understanding of shop math, blueprint reading/comprehension, and of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
- SAP or Enterprise system knowledge
- Documented manufacturing education/training
- Experience in applying similar quality control concepts
- Computer proficiency
