The Position
Your primary objective will be to work closely with senior management in developing and executing strategies to recruit and retain a strong, high-performing workforce. This role is responsible for long-term planning and sourcing candidates with highly specific skillsets, while also driving initiatives that support employee retention and organizational culture.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture relationships with potential hires
- Maintain positive partnerships with local universities to support ongoing talent pipelines
- Work closely with senior leadership to create and execute an Employee Retention Plan
- Facilitate and manage all phases of the recruitment process from job posting to offer
- Collaborate with managers to draft detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Implement efficient recruiting methods based on industry standards and organizational needs
- Screen applications, schedule and conduct interviews, and support selection efforts
- Provide guidance on offers including salary recommendations and start dates
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and internal policies
- Represent the company at job fairs, university events, and recruiting sessions
- Act as a point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, promoting the company’s reputation as a “Best Place to Work.”
- Own and facilitate the company’s 30/60/90-day onboarding process as well as employee offboarding procedures
- Operate GoTo Webinar during company meetings, including playing recorded videos and serving as the webinar administrator
- Serve as a reliable resource for product knowledge on the applicant tracking system and HRIS platforms
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or similar field preferred, associates degree and/or equivalent work experience (2 years) required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
