What are the responsibilities and job description for the Para-Educator Class IV- Trained Diabetes Personnel position at Dover School District, SAU 11?
The position is school day plus bus transportation to and from school. Employee will provide own transportation to students home to support riding bus with the student to and from school. The TDP, under the supervision of the school RN will: monitor blood glucose levels check student blood sugar, support students in counting carbohydrates,be knowledgeable in current technology (CGMs/insulin pumps)check for keytones and administer diabetes related medications including glucagon in case of a severe hypoglycemic reaction Communicate with RN regarding student care and statusMaintain written communication log between home and school
