What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Cook position at Down South CaJJun Eats?
Here at Down South CaJJun Eats we are looking for a lead cook with experience! If Bilingual That will be a plus! Come be a part of a fast-paced and FUN full-service restaurant environment! We are looking to hire a hard-working, self-motivated and high energy individual to join our staff.
This position demands creativity daily, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest level of standards. The lead cook must work well under pressure, is organized, flexible, self-motivated, reliable, and willing to work long hours. I am considering all experienced lead cooks for this position.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage overall operations under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager
Purchasing, inventory control, budgeting, maintaining costs, controlling labor, scheduling, and safety and sanitation
Prioritize completing task
Ensure Service and or Culinary Excellence
Ensure excellent guest experience
Ensure excellence in our Bar Program
Qualifications & Skills:
At least one year of experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment
Stress management/composure
Proven leadership and time management skills
Expert in proper food handling techniques and procedures
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
Down South CaJJun Eats was founded by twin brothers Jahmaal and Jermaine Dumes in the Spring of 2017. While Studying at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX they decided to take a leap of faith. Originally from Beaumont, TX they felt a tremendous part of their lives were missing in Austin. And that was Crawfish!
Coming from a family of cooks, they’ve always dreamed of starting a restaurant in their home state. With the help and support of family and friends, they were able to make this dream come alive.
