Firestopper Job Description
Job Role:
- Installing firestop systems to prevent the spread of fire and smoke within buildings
- Identifying and addressing potential fire hazards in structures
- Applying fire-resistant materials to seal openings and penetrations
- Ensuring adherence to fire safety regulations and industry standards
- Measuring and cutting fire-resistant materials to fit specific spaces
- Installing and maintaining firestop systems to meet safety requirements
- Participating in fire safety training and staying informed about industry advancements
- Experience in firestopping or a related field
- Ability to work with various firestopping tools and materials
- Attention to detail for precise installation of fire-resistant barriers
- Adherence to safety procedures and protocols
- Must be able to perform daily duties and be dependable.
- Work with the Foreman in completing jobs on time and under budget.
- May be asked to work on other crews.
- Report damaged/non-working tools
