Recreation Manager

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week. MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER Responsible for the information in each recreation job descriptions when working in that facility Interview, hire, train, discipline, and review job performance of all recreation staff Assist staff and guests when problems arise Ensure the staff has all the tools and supplies to complete their job successfully Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guest and staff while maintaining a safe and professional environment Oversee staff in day to day operations Responsible for all inventories and purchase orders within the department Maintain a safe work environment by promoting safe work practices and document any unsafe areas or practices with written documentation and work orders when needed Attend required meetings Other duties may be assigned   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development Conducts him\herself (acts and dresses) professionally at all times; sets standards for all associates Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally Actively listens to others Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions Must have a basic knowledge applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations Must have good mathematical and computer skills High school education and relevant training and experience preferred Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates   PHYSICAL DEMANDS Minimum lifting of 20 pounds Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity Hearing, writing, typing Minimum pulling of 20 pounds Standing for long periods of time Must be a strong swimmer   AGE REQUIREMENT Must be at least 18 years of age JOB TYPE Salary PAY Based on experience
