The EHS Manager responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage all environmental, health, and safety programs across two production facilities, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees and contractors, maintain OSHA logs, and lead internal safety audits and the plant safety committee.
- Oversee environmental compliance efforts, including reporting to federal and state agencies such as the EPA, ADEM, and ADECA, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety culture by implementing new policies, updating safety procedures, and serving as a resource for corporate and cross-divisional safety initiatives.
- Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance efforts, ensuring all aspects of chemical and process safety are effectively managed and documented.
The EHS Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related engineering discipline is required.
- 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles within a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and PSM regulations, with demonstrated ability to lead compliance efforts and interface with regulatory agencies.
