Strategic Supply Planner
Location: Lexington, Kentucky | Industry: Manufacturing
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for supply chain optimization and network planning? Join a leading manufacturing company as a Strategic Network & Capacity Planner and play a critical role in shaping the future of our global supply network.
Why This Role Matters:
As a key player in our Supply Chain Planning team, you'll drive medium- to long-term capacity strategies across our external manufacturing and distribution network. Your mission: ensure we meet service and growth targets while minimizing risk and cost - all from an end-to-end supply chain perspective.
What You'll Do:
Inventory Strategy & Optimization
- Define and manage safety stock levels across the supply network
- Align inventory strategy with product lifecycle and demand variability
- Minimize stockouts, obsolescence, and excess inventory
Capacity Planning & Performance
- Standardize capacity reporting across suppliers
- Identify bottlenecks and drive agility improvements
- Collaborate with suppliers to enhance throughput and responsiveness
Network Design & Execution
- Support sourcing and network design decisions
- Recommend data-driven improvements to supplier footprint and flow
- Lead execution of network transformation initiatives
What You Bring:
- 5 years in Supply Chain Planning
- Bachelor's required / MBA/Master's in SCM preferred
- Strong analytical and data management skills (Excel, ERP, Power BI, analytics tools)
- Proven leadership in cross-functional environments (Sourcing, Ops, Logistics, Finance)
- Excellent communication, change management, and decision-making skills
- Supply Chain certifications (APICS, CSCP, Six Sigma) are a plus
Travel: 10-15%
