What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at DSJ Global?
The Manufacturing Engineer will support an aerospace manufacturing client by designing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes used to produce precision‑machined components. This role is responsible for creating part processing plans, developing tooling and fixturing, establishing quality and cost standards, and driving continuous improvement through Lean methodologies.
You Will:
- Create complete, step‑by‑step part processing plans for machined aerospace components.
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, metrology solutions, and job aids to support machining, assembly, and testing operations.
- Ensure product and process quality by designing measurement methods, establishing standards, and validating manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate workcell layouts to optimize manpower utilization, workflow efficiency, and floor space using Lean techniques.
- Identify and eliminate waste throughout all stages of manufacturing.
- Analyze manufacturing issues to establish and execute high‑impact improvement projects.
- Lead the Design for Manufacturability (DFM) process for new product introduction.
- Prepare and maintain process FMEAs, root‑cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
- Plan equipment, facility, and resource changes to support production needs.
- Support initial product builds and ensure all Manufacturing Engineering deliverables are completed on time.
- Develop accurate, complete documentation for existing and new manufacturing processes
- Research cutting‑edge equipment, automation technologies, and testing systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
