Essential Functions and Expectations:
- Ability to diagnose failures and perform repairs on tractors
- Perform high quality and efficient repair services for various vehicle components, including but not limited to:
- Transmissions and drive trains
- Steering
- Suspension and frame
- Cab heating and air conditioning
- Engine fuel and exhaust systems
- Brakes and braking systems
- Engines
- Chassis components
- Truck accessories
- Diagnostics
- Wiring
- Receive and carry out service orders
- Perform diagnostic services and troubleshooting to determine repair needs
- Perform quality control checks for repaired vehicle to ensure repairs are complete
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, including completion of DOT forms and all other customer provided forms in a timely fashion.
- Road tests vehicles to ensure quality of repairs and proper vehicle operation. *Dependent upon having a CDL*
- Works with the Parts Department to ensure that all necessary materials, parts, and shop supplies are properly on service orders.
- Performs other maintenance duties or assignments when necessary
- Maintain organized and clean workspace. Keep account of company and personal tools at all times
- 5 years experience as a diesel mechanic
- Posses a valid driver's license
- Must be able to obtain CDL
- Must own tools
- Able to lift up to 100 LB
- Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills
- Great mechanical, electrical skills, and computing skills
- Looking to hire day shift - hours ranging from 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Overtime and commission available upon request
