The DuPont Country Club, nestled within the rolling hills of the historic Brandywine Valley, is one of the premier venues to promote leisure activities through championship caliber golf courses, state of the art tennis facilities, pools, & an updated fitness center.
The DuPont Country Club is currently looking for Summer Camp Counselors to join our team and focus on providing the highest quality of service for our membership in our Summer Camp. Sports Camp operates Monday through Friday, throughout the summer. The overall responsibilities for this role will include operating Sports Camp in such a manner that the camp meets high standards of program and administration. In addition, this role will have the following responsibilities:
- Follows & maintains the Sports Camp program to meet the DuPont Country Club goals and objectives.
- Plans, leads, & implements Sports Camp programming for children.
- Provides safe, educational, and enjoyable opportunities for camp participants.
- Maintains surveillance of the pool during swimming period.
- Supervises campers to ensure their safety, development, and general well-being.
- Follows & enforces safety guidelines associated with the Sports Camp program.
- Supervises campers during all programs throughout the camp day.
- Works with Sports Camp staff members to provide a safe & fun environment for campers.
- Cleans, maintains, & ensures proper use of DuPont Country Club facilities & camp equipment.
- Works with other departments at DuPont Country Club while participating in sports (Tennis, Golf, and Wellness).
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of daily attendance, before and after care attendance, and incidents.
The successful candidate will have/be:
- Experience working with children.
- Ability to delegate and to take satisfaction from getting a job done through others.
- Able to work well with others.
- Upbeat and patient attitude.
- Familiarity with sports, such as volleyball, soccer, swimming, etc.
Education & Certifications:
- Standard First Aid certification is preferred.
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification is preferred.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is preferred.
