Job Summary
We are seeking an HR Generalist to support our manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for providing HR services in areas such as recruitment, workers compensation, time and attendance, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Remains current on developments in the HR field.
- Creates HR metrics and reports as needed.
- Assists with maintaining personnel records in accordance with EEO, privacy, and related requirements.
- Ensures regulatory compliance by posting required notifications and maintaining employee files.
- Provides guidance on policy administration and interpretation to employees and leadership.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support organization design efforts.
- Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive personnel business.
- Updates and organizes job descriptions.
- Conducts job interviews and prepares new hire orientations.
- Evaluates and verifies employment eligibility for all new hires.
- Manages annual performance reviews and develops staff development strategies.
- Administers benefits meetings and manages terminations.
- Develops office and field employee communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3 years of human resources generalist experience preferred.
- HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Bilingual a plus (Spanish).
- Experience with ADP, KRONOS, ATS systems preferred.
- PHR, SHRM-CP certification a plus.
Physical Requirements
The employee will spend most of their time sitting at a desk and using a computer. They may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
This role will work in a mixed manufacturing plant and office environment.
