JOB SUMMARY: Perform Blending and Packaging housekeeping and sanitation functions as assigned and as required to meet State and Federal regulatory agency standards.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and maintain mechanical cleaning, powered service equipment and trash compactor.
- Be trained to operate powered cleaning equipment; check equipment for problems prior to each use, and report problems to Supervisor.
- Adhere to plant and departmental safety rules and ensure that hazardous materials are handled and/or disposed of properly.
- Perform plant, office and grounds housekeeping and sanitation duties as scheduled using either mechanical or powered cleaning or service equipment. These duties include emptying trash barrels/bins, mopping, sweeping or vacuuming floors, cleaning countertops, tables, windows, sinks, bathroom facilities using brooms, mops, vacuum hoses and cleaners
- Use cleaning supplies safely and efficiently.
- Regular attendance on the job, dependability and reliability are required.
- Read labels for proper use of cleaning chemicals/materials.
- Vacuum dust and product off of machines
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiate request for cleaning and service supplies prior to stock out.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in neat and orderly manner.
- Use forklift to move totes and pallets out of way
- Perform other duties or special projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to follow some routine, repetitive tasks.
- Ability to maintain and operate powered cleaning, service equipment and trash compactor.
- Ability to perform heavy physical work, exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently, performing such activities as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, pinching and grasping are possible.
- Ability to operate power equipment for material handling.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work in normal manufacturing environment with potential exposure to equipment movement, hazards and dangerous chemical solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
- Proper personal protective equipment required.
- Dirt, temperature extremes noise, dampness.

- Obstacles, steps.
- Significant work pace/pressure
