What You’ll Do
As the maintenance planner, you will be responsible for developing individual job plans for Work Notifications that are entered into SAP by various personnel across Site, identifying and ensuring all parts necessary to perform a maintenance task are procured and kitted prior to scheduling. You will focus on preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance strategies and must take a leading role in promoting this culture Other duties will include:
- Develops and takes ownership of routine outages such as gauze changes to develop work scope and produce job plans, and procure parts prior to a routine outage.
- Ensure compliance with Zero Harm and applicable DN HSEQ Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
- Focuses efforts on preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance tasks in order to reduce reactive maintenance.
- Maintains Equipment Files and SAP records to ensure accuracy, consistency, and current information.
- Work directly with other Maintenance Group resources to solve reoccurring maintenance problems through equipment and material selection, maintenance job plans, and mechanical design.
- Assists Mechanical Shop with technical support and “on their tools” as needed (i.e. call-ins, emergency break-downs, routine outages, etc.).
- Prepares SA’s and CEP requests and cost estimates, analyzes bids and quotations for equipment and projects, and prepares recommendations for selections. Reviews vendor drawings and outside engineering design data for applicability.
- Supports the Site’s Lubrication program through response to needs and issues identified by Lubrication Technicians.
- Supports the Site’s Mechanical Integrity program as a part of the plant’s Process Safety Management program and Risk Management Plan.
- AS or BS degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or similar field preferred.
- 10 years in an industrial environmental such as a chemical plant, refinery, or powerplant required.
- 5 years in maintenance planning position preferred.
- Experience in rotating equipment, precision tools (laser alignment)
- Understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) and the AN Code of Practice.
- A strong desire to learn and promote preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance strategies is a must.
- Strong SAP software experience is required.
- AutoCAD knowledge is beneficial.
