e&e is seeking a SAP Brim Functional Consultant for a hybrid contract opportunity in Harrisburg, PA!
The SAP BRIM Functional Consultant – FICA is responsible for supporting enterprise solution delivery efforts by designing, configuring, testing, and supporting SAP BRIM and FICA capabilities within large-scale SAP S/4HANA programs. This role provides deep functional expertise across billing, invoicing, payments, dunning, collections, and financial integrations, working closely with architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure compliant, high-quality solutions. The consultant will also contribute to data migration, cutover activities, post-go-live support, and ongoing enhancements while maintaining thorough documentation and adherence to organizational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support solution delivery teams by coordinating and executing SAP BRIM and FICA functional activities.
- Deliver functional designs and system configurations for BRIM and FICA, including payments, dunning, collections, account determination, and CI/GL integrations.
- Lead functional testing activities, including test planning, script reviews, defect validation, and resolution across BRIM/FICA processes.
- Assist BRIM architects with configuration tasks such as business partner and contract account setup, correspondence configuration, and event framework updates.
- Provide subject matter expertise for test scenario design and test data creation.
- Support data migration efforts, including data mapping, translation rules, cross-reference maintenance, and open item conversions.
- Participate in cutover planning, readiness assessments, and FICA-related migration activities.
- Maintain Azure DevOps work items, documentation, and progress tracking for BRIM/FICA deliverables.
- Provide post-go-live support, including monitoring payment interfaces, dunning runs, settlement jobs, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, BRF rules, correspondence forms, and integrations with external payment providers.
- Support audit and compliance activities by ensuring FICA configurations align with financial controls and reporting requirements.
- Produce and maintain detailed functional and technical documentation, including designs, diagrams, test plans, scripts, impact analyses, lessons learned, and best practices, following prescribed templates and standards.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Lead and participate in project team activities related to enterprise system initiatives.
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks while adhering to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize required software and technology tools to perform job duties and support project execution.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the role and project objectives.
Minimum Experience / Skillset
- At least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation.
- 5 years of experience as a SAP BRIM Functional Analyst with CI and/or FICA expertise (8 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of FICA processes, including payments, dunning, collections, interest, open item management, and CI/GL integration.
- Experience with BRF , event framework, and FICA-related enhancements.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar application lifecycle management tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Azure DevOps Testing module.
Desired Skillset
- 3 years of hands-on SAP BRIM experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale SAP initiatives.
- Familiarity with ITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies.
Certifications / Education
- SAP S/4HANA BRIM certifications (e.g., BR230, BR234) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, information systems, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
