What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spa Laundry Attendant position at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa?
PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Assures the guest rooms and public areas of the Resort have the proper linens to exceed facility standards for cleanliness, and that the laundry staff exceeds facility standards for friendliness and helpfulness to their fellow employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap or other cleaning agent by programming laundry machines.
- Operates laundry machinery such as washers, driers.
- Starts machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
- Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into driers for measured time cycles.
- Sorts dried articles according to type.
- Folds and places items in appropriate storage area.
- Sorts torn and stained articles.
- Soaks contaminated articles and processes in de-staining cycle.
- Cleans lint traps and sweeps laundry room
- Cross train as House-person and room attendant.

REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to make appropriate judgments relative to the process of supporting the cleanliness of the Resort linen supply.

Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to use hands, arms, and fingers. Frequently requires standing for an extended period of time, as well as reaching, grabbing, pulling and grasping.
HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
