Professional Pet Groomer

We are seeking a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and providing top-notch grooming services. If you have experience in pet care and enjoy interacting with pets and their owners, we would love to hear from you.

General Description

An Earthwise Pet Groomer is responsible for providing outstanding grooming services through friendly engagement with our guests.

Duties

The general duties of an Earthwise Pet Groomer, include but are not limited to:

• Perform grooming services to breed standards and pet parent’s preferences
• Always ensure the safety and well being of pets under their care
• Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by engaging and educating our guests in a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere
• Become familiar with and understand retail products carried by Earthwise Pet, refer products to grooming guests when appropriate
• Learn and understand Earthwise Pet’s loyalty, savings programs, and monthly promotions
• Learn and understand Earthwise Pet’s point of sale and scheduling system and daily procedures
• Maintain grooming area cleanliness and organization
• Attends store meetings and trainings
• Other duties and projects as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items and/or pets up to and over 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Requirements

General: Customer/Guest service and retail experience, preferably in the pet industry. Knowledge of pet related products. Demonstrated pet grooming experience with formal training certification.

Working Environment: This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and inventory items available for purchase.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a variable hour position, days and hours of work will vary. This position requires the flexibility to work within our normal store operating hours, including before and/or after hours and weekends. Overtime may be required at times.

Required Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Grooming License (required)
• At least 2 years pet grooming experience preferred
