Human Resource Representative
The Human Resource Department of Eastern Illinois University has an opening for a full-time Human Resource Representative. This position will be responsible for providing support for all areas of Human Resources.
Duties could include:
- Creating, updating, and maintaining personnel records.
- Provide basic office support for Human Resources such as answering phones, processing mail, and reviewing group email accounts.
- Communicate with employees regarding employment status, salary changes.
- Data entry regarding employment contracts, ensuring accuracy for pay records.
Qualified candidates must meet the following credentials:
- High School graduation or equivalent
- Any combination totaling two years from the following:
- Progressively more responsible work experience maintaining, monitoring, and/or processing human resource records and reports.
- College course work in human resource administration, business administration or closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one year.
- Associate’s degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months.
- 90 semester hours equals two years.
The Civil Service Examination for this classification is a credentials assessment. No participation other than the submission of applicant materials is required from qualified applicants.
