Accounts Payable Clerk

• Code such items as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check request with correct codes conforming to company standards.
• Attaches the corresponding purchase orders to incoming invoices with all supporting documentation.
• Investigates and resolves problems associated with the processing of invoices and purchase orders.
• Prepares batch check runs.
• Assist with monthly status report, and monthly closings.
• Reconciles accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards.
• Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and report.
• Process a high volume of scanning and data entry with accuracy; ensure proper documentation is attached. 
• Respond to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Meet all necessary deadlines such as check runs, monthly closings and mailings.
• Provide strong organizational skills to maintain an efficient work environment, and be willing to collaborate with team members.
• Perform other duties as required.

• 1-2 years accounts payable experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar, punctuation and spelling.
• People oriented and results driven.
•  Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, QuickBooks and other computer programs.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and problem solve.
• Dependable, punctual, organized and have a great work ethic.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to interact professionally.
• Must posses a high degree of integrity, reliability and trustworthiness.
