What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sample Custodian position at Eastex Environmental Laboratory?
Eastex is looking for a full-time Sample Custodian. Work week would be Wednesday thru Saturday. Our Sample Custodian accepts custody of samples into the laboratory, processes samples into laboratory and sample data into the laboratory information management system. The position entails tracking of received samples, field sheets, chains of custody and other essential documents. Computer skills are required; knowledge of Google Mail and MS Outlook is helpful. Applicant must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds, frequently required to talk, hear, stoop, push, pull, grasp, kneel or crouch. The Sample Custodian is responsible for having samples and data entered and ready to process by 8:00 am the following work day, as a result the schedule for this full-time position may require hours outside of the normal 8-5.
