Industrial Building Maintenance Technician

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring an Industrial Building Maintenance Technician for a beverage distributor in Tempe, AZ. 2nd shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. For immediate consideration, apply today.

Job Purpose

Maintains, repairs and improves equipment used in bottling and packaging operations.

Food or beverage production experience preferred. Local candidates only.

Must be available to work extended hours and weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

• Execute preventative maintenance (PM) according to PM schedule to minimize equipment downtime
• Complete reactive maintenance on production lines to recover from equipment failures by repairing mechanical, electrical and structural components
• Create retrofits and fabrication, complete machine tear down/repair/assembly and work on electric motors
• Conduct creative problem solving to identify and perform equipment improvements
• Coach operators and peers on basic maintenance and equipment settings
• Participate in special project work on equipment upgrades or installations
• Work with team members and operators to ensure the daily production schedule is met
• Maintain partnerships with team members and vendors using effective communication
• Provide relief to production operators or team members when required
• Operate a forklift as needed to complete duties

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications desired

Experience:

• 5 years of maintenance experience in a high speed, industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
• Solid computer skills, including PLC experience, the use of Word, Excel, Outlook
• Experience with CMMS or other preventative maintenance systems
• Sanitary stainless welding/fitting skills desired
• Experience with electrical controls
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing
• Total productive maintenance

• Ability to coach others
• Able to lift 100 lbs. and pull 120 lbs. as needed while performing work
• Able to work with an awkward posture for 2 hours or more
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends
• Demonstrated sense of urgency in completing tasks
