What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Eastside Outpatient Services?
Eastside Outpatient Services, a substance abuse treatment center, is seeking a full-time LPN to join our organization.
The LPN must be able to dispense medications in the mornings, starting at 6 AM. The LPN must also be able to work some weekend mornings.
Responsibilities
- Nurse is responsible for the safe and the efficient dispensing and administering of Methadone to opioid dependent clients.
- Documentation of medical and clinical records and observations, records keeping regarding Methadone inventory and control.
- Works in close coordination with other treatment team members.
- Case management
- Participate in Staff Trainings and Clinical Staffing as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by Program Director and MD’s
- Interested candidates should have a strong interest in working in substance abuse field, be a team player, be organized, and have a strong interpersonal communication skills and be dependable.
Qualifications
- LPN License in the State of Michigan
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, as per the clinic’s hours of operations, including some Saturday mornings
