Overview
We are looking for a Culinary Director for our Senior Living Community. This position is responsible for coordinating all dining services operations and ensuring that meals are prepared and presented in accordance with applicable regulations and customer expectations. This nutrition management position includes;
- 80 hours every two weeks
- Full time day shifts
- Weekends and Holidays as needed

Responsibilities/Job Description
- Follow Corporate menus, assists with planning and developing menus for upcoming week
- Handles inventory and food/supplies budget
- Prepares and/or supervises food preparation ensuring that accurate sanitation and food handling techniques are used and that products meet temperature and quality standards
- Assist with the special event
- Clean and sanitize equipment after each use or per the routine cleaning schedule
- Ensures that new employees are properly trained and oriented to their job responsibilities
- Welcomes residents, initiates conversation and encourages socialization
- Accommodates resident requests such as requests for substitute foods, change in seating, etc
- Ability to interact compassionately and effectively with residents
Qualifications
Required:
- Food Manager Certification (must acquire within first 90-days of employment)
- Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course - Serv Safe (must acquire within first 90-days)
- 3-5 years previous experience
- Performance Management Skills
Preferred:
- Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree - Food Service
- Certified Dietary Manager
- Certified Food Protection Professional
- Solid understanding of basic Microsoft applications
