Mass Tort Paralegal

Eckert Seamans is a full-service national law firm with a strong reputation and history of success that spans more than 65 years. With approximately 300 lawyers across a network of 15 offices, we provide clients with proactive, solution-oriented business and litigation counsel. We are seeking a Mass Tort Paralegal to join our Newark, NJ or White Plains, NJ team.

Job Duties:

• Drafting correspondence, legal documents and standard discovery; assembling motions for service and case/file management
• Managing multiple spreadsheets
• Familiarity with New York and New Jersey state court rules and federal rules of civil procedure
• Handling State and Federal electronic filing
• Calendar management - utilizing e-law and e-courts
• Paralegal Billing required
• ​Paralegal Degree/Certificate is a plus
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required
• Professional and articulate

Qualifications:

• Experience with mass tort required
• Knowledge of MS Office primarily: Word, Excel and Outlook; iManage and Notary a plus
• 2-4 years litigation experience
