Head Start Preschool Teacher Assistant

Salary Range : $16.50 per hour

Job Description : EdAdvance is seeking a qualified applicant to assist in teaching preschool children in the Head Start program in Watertown, CT. As a Head Start Teacher Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing preschool children with a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Classroom Teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 3 to 5, promoting school readiness in language, literacy, cognition, social studies, mathematics, science, the arts, social emotional skills and physical development.
Major Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with Classroom Teachers in planning and implementing a wide variety of creative and developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 3 to 5 to promote school readiness across areas of development, including language, literacy, cognition, social studies, mathematics, science, the arts, social emotional skills and physical development.
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with parents to support their involvement in their child's learning and development process.
