Process Technician
Location: Eden, NC, 27288
Eden Custom Processing located in Eden, NC has been recycling a variety of solvents including glycols and diols since 2003. Our system is centered around a Hastelloy Thin Film Evaporation Unit capable of removing various impurities, including solids, to produce a pure refined solvent. In addition to our processing equipment, we house fully functioning laboratories, equipped with all necessary testing capabilities to ensure our product exceeds our customers' specifications.
Job Description
We are currently hiring a Process Technician to work second shift which will include hours from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. We offer a rotating schedule of two days on, two days off, three days on.
The Process Technician will be responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining chemical processing equipment
- Monitoring and controlling chemical processes
- Performing quality control tests on products
- Recording and analyzing data from chemical processes
- Identifying and troubleshooting issues with equipment and processes
- Loading and unloading tankers according to written procedures.
- Maintaining proper procedures for tank farm utilizing tanks, lines, manifolds, gauges, fittings, gaskets and hoses
- Monitor all processes and utilize lab testing equipment including gas chromatograph, Karl Fisher titrator, pH titrator, colorimeter and viscometer.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Collaborating with other team members to improve processes and products
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Chemical Technology or related field
- 2 years of experience in chemical processing
- Strong understanding of chemical processes and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
