What are the responsibilities and job description for the Federal Work Study position at Education Affiliates?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assistant will create student files and with help with the maintenance of student records
- Assist with filing, bulk mailings, retrieving files from storage areas, and/or light typing.
- Assistant will be trained on operating the fax machines and copiers.
- Assistant will assist the Registrar/Director in the collection and recording of address changes and record maintenance.
- Assistant will help by mailing out official transcript and diplomas
Limitations: FWS Student Employee may not provide direct instruction in classroom activities. The FWS employee may never participate in admissions, recruitment, maintenance, repair, general telephone or reception activities.
Hourly Wage: Hourly wages are detailed on the student employment offer letter. Wages are paid semi-monthly. Each FWS employee must complete a daily record of time worked by recording this in ADP. The student’s supervisor must certify that the record of hours were worked and earned. With the student’s written authorization, net FWS wages may be applied directly to students’ tuition and fees account.
Duration of The FWS student employee will be awarded a maximum
Employment: amount of gross earnings by the Director of Financial Aid. This need-based award is subject to change or cancellation by the Director of Financial Aid. Employment may be terminated without notice if the employee ceases to be an “active student” in good standing or the employee fails to perform his/her duties in a satisfactory manner or there is no longer a need for the position.
Maximum Hours
Each Week: 20 per week
Supervision: Registrar and/or Director of Education.
