Bring your fiscal and accounting expertise to the education field with this exciting new Business Manager II position! Reporting directly to an Assistant Fiscal Officer III, the Business Manager II will design, maintain, and review the annual budget for the assigned school district(s).
Salary:
The full salary range for this position is $94,203.20 - $114,628.80. Offers are made at the beginning of the range.
Assignment:
This position is full-time, year-round. It will offer a hybrid/remote schedule based out of the ESD 112 Vancouver campus and is anticipated to serve and partner with the Cowlitz County School District.

Essential Functions/Other Functions
Essential Functions:
- Plan, monitor, analyze and provide fiscal projections for district revenue and expense budgets.
- Prepare district budget, state and federal grants, Request for Proposal (RFP) for services, financial reports, E-rate calculation, election resolutions, and reports for the Board of Directors and Superintendent.
- Manage and audit all districts funds, including but not limited to accounts payable, receivables, payroll, state and personnel reporting, food service reports and monthly Treasurer's report.
- Manage internal audits and serve as a liaison between the school district and the state auditor's office.
- Provide fiscal procedure and policy guidance to staff.
- Assist with district long range planning. Plan for bond and levy elections.
- Oversee capital projects.
- Provide support for contract negotiations.
- Provide business manager services to school districts with more than 1,000 FTE.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of business office experience working in the areas of accounting and state financial reporting.
- Two years of experience working with automated accounting systems.
- Experience in a regional education service agency, public school district or governmental agency accounting.
- Experience with the WSIPC fiscal system.
- Office Environment.
- Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
