Position Description:
As our company continues to grow, we’re looking for a Junior Designer to join our Marketing team to support the company with all design needs, building the brand portfolio, and setting creative standards. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, demonstrate excellent design sensibility, and have the ability to work across a diverse team of marketing professionals. This person will be responsible for thoughtful designs on various projects and mediums from inception to finish, and will be a critical part of ensuring that creative assets positively define the brand.
What you’ll do (but not limited to)
- Gather project requirements and ideas from internal stakeholders and translate into creative assets. To do this, the person in this role must be comfortable asking questions in order to gain further clarity from requestors.
- Apply brand guidelines to create graphic techniques for various deliverables and mediums.
- Create engaging designs within company brand guidelines.
- Pitch creative concepts, presentations, and improvements.
- Collaborate with the team to launch projects.
- Use feedback from Senior Designers to hone skills and improve deliverables.
- Participate in various design projects from concept to completion
- Take on special or repetitive design tasks (e.g. color corrections, minor copy edits, etc.)
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in design and creative collateral
- Desire to work with diverse teams and individuals, leaning into teamwork while being independently motivated
- Experience with design software and graphic editing tools (primarily Adobe Creative Suite, and willing to learn Figma)
- Familiarity with design techniques and an understanding of visual elements (typography, layouts, fonts, etc)
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to take direction and deliver according to specifications and requirements
- Ability to ask for help or additional support when unsure of how to accomplish goals and tasks
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Google Suite
- Experience in Slack or similar platform
