We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a CNC Machinist Apprentice. In this role, you will work closely with and take direction from our experienced CNC Machinists to learn and develop skills in CNC machining processes. This position offers the opportunity for early conversion to direct hire for exceptional candidates who demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of CNC machining, including set-up, programming, and operation.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist experienced CNC Machinists in setting up and operating CNC machines.
- Learn and follow machining blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
- Perform basic machining tasks under supervision, such as loading and unloading materials, tool changes, and quality inspections.
- Aid in the maintenance and upkeep of CNC machines and work areas.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient production processes.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning and developing machining skills.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience or coursework in machining or related field preferred.
- Ability to take direction and learn from experienced CNC Machinists.
- Basic understanding of machining principles and techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work full-time hours and undergo training as needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
Working hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
